On October 9, 2012, Rocky Mountain Field Institute received the Bureau of Land Management Utah Youth Program Partnership Award for our youth-focused environmental service work in Indian Creek Canyon, Utah. Every year RMFI runs a spring break program in collaboration with Colorado College whereby students spend 5 days completing an environmental service project and 5 days backpacking through Utah's amazing landscape near Canyonlands National Park. Since 1989, RMFI has provided desert stewardship opportunities for numerous schools including Montrose High School, Western State College, and Prescott College.
