Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) announces the departure of its Executive Director, Rebecca Jewett, who will be moving into the Executive Director position at the Palmer Land Trust. Jewett began her career with Rocky Mountain Field Institute as a student at Colorado College in the Earth Corps program in 2003 and has served in a variety of roles since that time including Program Coordinator, Program Director, and for the past three years as Executive Director.

“While we are sad to lose Rebecca, we are also grateful for all she has contributed to the organization. RMFI has certainly been the beneficiary of her talent, drive and energy, and she leaves us in a very strong position financially and programmatically. We look forward to continuing our high quality projects and programs, and maintaining a strong, complementary relationship with Rebecca in her role as Executive Director at Palmer Land Trust,” says Ian Kalmanowitz, board chair of Rocky Mountain Field Institute.

The Rocky Mountain Field Institute Board is redeploying existing staff to manage a busy summer field season while actively seeking a new Executive Director. Rocky Mountain Field Institute is a land conservation and stewardship organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Through environmental restoration and community engagement programs, RMFI focuses on maintaining our region's ecological and recreational resources.
