This is the perfect opportunity to give back to the Garden without getting sore muscles from moving heavy rocks! Garden Greeters will sit at a table in the Garden informing visitors of the work that RMFI is doing as well as answer any questions that visitors have regarding the ecology, geology, and history of the park. Help promote the sustainability in the park through educating visitors. All are welcome.
Minimum age is 16; 13 if accompanied by a parent volunteer.
TRAINING: We will be hosting a training/informational meeting for all Garden Greeters at the Garden of the Gods Visitors center at 4:30 pm on May 5th. Call or email to sign up today!
Program Information:
LOCATION: We are currently working in the Central Garden Area. Meeting place will be announced when you register.
ACTIVITY: Easy. Volunteers will greet curious Garden visitors and answer questions regarding RMFI's work, natural history of the Garden and the ecology and geology of the area.
BRING: water bottle, sack lunch, rain gear, weather-appropriate clothes and sunscreen.
