Volunteer Calendar

Join RMFI for a day of restoration work in Red Rock Canyon Open Space! Our project will focus on restoring redundant and unsustainable rogue trails near the Mesa and Roundup Trails on the park's east side. Work will include breaking up hardened soils, seeding, transplanting, mulching, and other necessary tasks.

This workday may involve a hike of up to a couple of miles to and from the trail build site from the parking lot and trailhead. Work will be moderately strenuous. Be prepared for a full and rewarding day of hiking and work!

Bonus Earth Day Volunteer Appreciation After Party: On this special workday happening on the weekend of Earth Day, we will host an optional post-workday social at our RMFI office, not far from the Red Rock Canyon Open Space! Join us to celebrate a good day's work, play some corn hole if the weather is nice, and enjoy a complimentary cold beer courtesy of Avery Brewing Company! Soft drinks available as well as a non-alcoholic option!

If you have questions, or would like to register a group, please contact Molly Mazel, Volunteer & Partnership Coordinator, (719) 471-7736 ext. 4# or molly@rmfi.org.
