Pancake Rocks Stewardship Day
This is a community stewardship opportunity, where we welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and communities. Due to the strenuous nature of the work at Pancake Rocks, volunteers need to be 16 and older and accompanied by a parent if under 18.

Volunteer CalendarLand Acknowledgment
This is a community stewardship day, which we acknowledge takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), and Cheyenne Nations*. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced occupation of their territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse indigenous people connected to this land on which our stewardship days take place.

Please meet RMFI at the Horsetheif Park Trailhead off CO-67, please use the link below to navigate to the trailhead as while driving on 67 it will come up quickly.

-We do ask that all volunteers be available for the entire workday, we will not be close to the trailhead and a staff member will not be available to hike you down separately.
Activity: This US Forest Service property is a year-round popular multi-use trail that is part of the greater Ring the Peak Trail. The project will focus on rerouting 2 sections on the Pancake Rocks Trail. The construction of the new trail tread follows a specific predetermined path laid out by the USFS, please follow all guidelines provided by RMFI staff on tread width and direction. Project tasks may include decompacting hardened soils, moving materials such as rock, dirt, and timbers, and potentially constructing check dams, drains or other trail features at the direction of RMFI staff. This is strenuous work using tools in the outdoors. at elevations between 10'000-11'000 feet. Be prepared for a rewarding day of trail work!
