Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) is one of the leading trail stewards in Colorado and is headquartered near Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak-America's Mountain in beautiful Colorado Springs. RMFI is gearing up for a busy 2026 season and looking to fill multiple positions.  

Development Director

The Development Director is a member of Rocky Mountain Field Institute's senior leadership team and is responsible for driving donor programs, fundraising campaigns, grant writing, and other community engagement initiatives. The Development Director will be crucial in increasing RMFI's visibility, expanding the donor base, and securing financial support to advance the mission. This role will manage and grow all individual and corporate giving programs, assist with government and foundation grants. This role will require hustle, and the successful candidate will need to be entrepreneurial and fearless while also being flexible.

Trail Crew Technician

Trail Crew Technicians are RMFI's primary on-the-ground workforce, implementing project work under the guidance of a Trail Crew Leader and Program Managers. Technicians will work on single- and multi-day field projects, accomplishing project objectives in trail construction, maintenance, restoration, erosion mitigation, and other stewardship objectives with a crew of 4-8 members. 

 

Status: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt, seasonal 

Salary: $19 / hour  

Season: until approximately 10/3
