Giving back to Shelf is cool! The Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) is leading a stewardship and conservation project with support from Pikes Peak Climbers Alliance (PPCA). Trail work will be focused on improving the Cactus Cliff approach trail by installing rock steps, tread armoring, and enhancing drainage. Prize giveaways will be provided for volunteering. Get involved and give back! Tie in with the AAC and C.A.M.P. for the infamous Shelf Road Craggin’ Classic! Together we will celebrate camaraderie and our shared love for Shelf—the land of limestone pocket pulling, crimp crushing, and bolt clipping. There will be live entertainment, clinics, prizes, beverages, community, and most importantly stewardship!

Land Acknowledgment
This is a community stewardship day, which we acknowledge takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), Cheyenne, and Jicarilla Apache Nations*. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced occupation of their territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse indigenous people connected to this land on which our stewardship days take place.
