Help us get the Dixon Trail done!
Join RMFI and the Friends of Cheyenne Mountain State Park for a day of trail construction to finish and touch up the final trail segments needed to complete the long awaited Dixon Trail! Upon completion and official opening to follow, the Dixon Trail will serve as the connection between the trail system of Cheyenne Mountain State Park at the foot of the mountain and the brand new Top of the Mountain (TOM) Trail.
We will carpool to an access point and hike a couple of steep miles up the lower Dixon to reach the mid-mountain stretch of trail needing work. Tasks will include corridor clearance and construction of trail features such as steps and retaining walls on the middle of the Dixon Trail.
This is a strenuous full workday recommended to volunteers in good physical condition.
