Stratton Open Space is one of RMFI's TOPS Stewardship Project Sites. Owned by the City, Stratton has a wide variety of ecosystems in which many multi-use trails wind through. From Ponderosa forests to shrub lands and prairies you are bound to see some wildlife enjoying the park as well. Located to the West of Cheyenne Mountain High School and connected to North Cheyenne Canon there are plenty of trails to explore with views in every direction.

We recognize the following nations, whose traditional territories we work on in Stratton Open Space:

  • Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute)
  • Cheyenne
  • Jicarilla Apache

WORK OBJECTIVES:

  • RMFI will work in partnership with the City of Colorado Springs to complete work in accordance with the park management plan.
